PRIVACY POLICY

HIPPIEBUDDHA (hereinafter referred to as the “Company”) values the personal information of its registered users and abides by the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. The Company shall inform users of the purpose and method of using the personal information provided by users through the privacy policy, and what measures are being taken to protect personal information. When this policy is revised, it shall be notified via the Site notice (or individual notice).

1. Rejection of collection and use of personal information

The Company uses the collected personal information for the following purposes.

  • Customer inquiries : Receiving and processing customer inquiries, replying to results

3. Period of possession and use of personal information

The Company shall destroy the personal information without delay when the purpose of processing personal information is fulfilled.

4. Procedure and methods of destruction of personal information

The Company, in principle, shall destroy the information without delay after the purpose of collecting and using personal information is achieved (Refer to the Period of possession and use of personal information).

Destruction method

The personal information printed on paper shall be destroyed by shredding or incineration, and the personal information saved in electronic file form shall be deleted by a technical method that renders the records irreproducible.

5. Provision of personal information to third parties

The Company shall not provide the user’s personal information to an external party or a third party without the consent of the user. However, exceptions are made in the following cases.

  • In case of obtaining separate consent from the user
  • In case there is a special regulation in the statute or there is a request from the investigation agency in accordance with the procedures and methods set forth in the act of investigation
  • in case of providing in a form that cannot identify a specific individual for statistical preparation, academic research, or market research.

6. Rights of users and legal representatives and method of exercising rights

A user or his/her legal representative may request to view, correct/delete, suspend processing, or withdraw consent of their registered personal information including the personal information of children under the age of 14 years at any time.

Users may request to view or edit their personal information and withdraw membership by phone or email on the Site, which will be available after the verification process.

The Company may refuse to view/correct/delete/suspend the processing of all or part of personal information in the following cases.

  • When viewing of processing is prohibited or restricted in accordance with the law
  • If there is a risk of harming the life or body of another person or unfairly infringing on the property and other interests of another person

When a user requests the correction of errors in personal information, the Company shall not use the personal information until the correction is completed. If incorrect personal information has already been provided to a third party, the corrected information shall be immediately notified to the third party so that necessary corrections can be made.

The Company shall ensure that the personal information that has been canceled or deleted at the request of a user or legal representative as specified in “Period of possession and service of personal information” is viewed or used for any other purpose.

7. Installation, operation, and rejection of personal information auto-collection devices

No one shall use a program or other technical devices that automatically collect personal information in the course of using the services such as cookies.

8. Securing the safety of personal information

The Company shall take the following measures to ensure the safety of personal information.

  • Administrative measures: establishment and implementation of internal management plans, regular employee training, etc.
  • Technical measures: management of access rights of the personal information processing system, access control, communication encryption, and installation of a security program
  • Physical measures: Access control for IDC Center

In order to protect users’ personal information and handle complaints related to personal information, the Company shall designate the personal information manager and staff responsible for personal information protection as follows.
